John Winston Lennon was born Oct. 9, 1940 at 6:30 am, during a German air raid on Liverpool. His parents - Julia and Alfred Lennon. John became the first and last of their children - shortly after his birth, Julie and Alfred diverged.
When Julia Lennon found himself another man, John took four years to raise his aunt on the maternal side Mimi and her husband, George Smith, who had no children. Mimi was a strict teachers, and this often led to Lennon's rejection. Lennon found a common language with the uncle, who replaced his father, but in 1953 George died. A new passion is not passed by Lennon, and in 1956 he, along with his school friends founded the group The Quarrymen, named in honor of the school in which they studied. Sam Lennon Quarrymen played the guitar. Besides him, the group participated in five people: one, too, playing guitar, two drums, one man on banjo and one best friend Pete Shotton, John - on the washing board. July 6, 1957 Lennon met with Paul McCartney and took it to the Quarrymen. Soon, McCartney gave the group his friend George Harrison.
After Lennon failed final exams at school, he was able (not without help from the school principal) to enter the Liverpool College of Art. There he became friends with Stuart Sutcliffe, which also drew in the Quarrymen, and met his future wife Cynthia Powell.
In 1958 (July 15) John's mother died. When it goes the way it has brought down on the car the police officer. Death of Julia Lennon was the hardest for the shock.
